Description

The barn, likely dating to the early 19th century, stands near Mawley House Cottage, which was originally built as a farm around 1808. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with alternating flush quoins, and has a roof covered in stone slate. A projecting cart entry is on the west side, featuring a timber lintel and double timber doors. To the right is an opposed gabled entry with a catslide roof. The barn comprises five bays and contains collar and tie beam trusses, with scattered square vents.
