Description

Woodhayne Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century or earlier. It is constructed of roughcast stone rubble and cob, topped with an asbestos slate roof featuring gabled ends. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high, with two and three window ranges. The windows are modern two and three-light casements that include glazing bars, and there is a modern porch at the entrance. A brick ridge stack is located over the west wing, while the east wing contains a byre at its lower end, which has a hipped asbestos roof and a loft door situated above the stable door. Inside, the farmhouse features stopped chamfered ceiling beams.
