Description

Chantry House is a house dating to around the 16th century, constructed of plastered stone rubble and situated at a right angle to the road. It has a slate roof with gabled ends. The house has two storeys and originally four windows, although these have been replaced with modern casements. Rendered chimney stacks rise above the gable ends. A modern glazed conservatory has been added to the right-hand side and front of the house, and a lean-to addition extends from the rear, featuring a catslide roof and gable.

Inside, the house retains jointed cruck trusses, as well as stepped chamfer ceiling beams and a fireplace bressumer.
