Description
Marsh Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around the 17th century. It is constructed of roughcast stone rubble, with a front made of 18th-century red brick featuring burnt headers. The roof is covered with asbestos slate and has gabled ends. The building is two storeys high and has a four-window range. The first floor features 18th-century three-light casements with leaded panes, and there is a string course at first floor level. The ground floor has 20th-century casements set in segmental arched openings, and there is a 20th-century porch located off centre to the right. External brick chimney stacks are present at both gable ends. At the rear, there is a semi-circular stair tower with a bowed two-light window that also has leaded panes. Additionally, there is a stone rubble rear wing that forms an L-shaped plan, which includes a 20th-century extension at the angle.
