Description
Higher Stonebarrow is a farmhouse dating from around the late 17th century. It is constructed of stone rubble with a pebble dash front and has an asbestos slate roof featuring half hipped and gabled ends. The building is two storeys high and has a long range of three windows. The windows include small two and three light casements with glazing bars, along with two ground floor sash windows. A central 20th-century porch is present at the front. There are brick chimney stacks at each end of the house. At the rear, there is a modern concrete lean-to outshut. Inside, there is a stopped chamfer fireplace bressummer located in the south-west end.
