Description

Pound Dairy is a pair of adjoining cottages dating from the 18th century. They are constructed from roughcast stone rubble and feature a thatched roof with hipped and half hipped ends, along with eyebrow eaves. The cottages are one storey with an attic and have a range of five windows. The windows are 19th and 20th century casements with glazing bars, and there are plank doors. A pantile verandah extends over the front of the ground floor. Cottage No. 2 has a 20th century lean-to extension at the front. The buildings have brick ridge and end chimney stacks, as well as a rebuilt stack on the front wall.
