Description
Higher Hampton Farm House is a farmhouse dating from around the 17th century. It is constructed of plastered stone rubble and features a concrete tile roof with gable ends. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range, with two and four-light casements that include glazing bars. To the left of the centre, there is a panelled and glazed door that is sheltered by a hood on brackets. The house has brick chimney stacks at the ridge and ends, and there is a modern extension at the rear.
Inside, the farmhouse has stopped chamfered ceiling beams and a central fireplace that features a heavy timber bressumer, although this fireplace is now blocked. The building is included in the listing for its group value.
