Description

The Stables is a late 18th-century stable range that originally served Shute House. It has been converted into houses. The building is constructed of rendered brick, with a slate hipped roof. The layout comprises a two-storey, three-bay house connected to three-bay coach houses via lower stables arranged on a quadrant plan around a semi-circular courtyard. The house features sash windows with glazing bars and a round-arched central doorway. The coach houses have round-arched carriageways with small windows above, while the linking stables have round-arched stable doors.
