Description

Linhay, located 50 metres east of Little Paddocks, dates from the late 17th century or 18th century. It features cob walls with brick patching and a hipped roof, with some thatch still visible beneath the corrugated iron. The structure consists of five bays, with uprights morticed into tie beams, some of which are chamfered and may be reused. The purlins rest on the backs of A-frame trusses that are morticed and pegged at the apex. There are also some boarded partitions at the cellar level.
