Description

This milestone, located on Luckington Road in Sherston, dates from 1755 to 1756 and was part of the Malmesbury Turnpike. It is made of limestone and stands 1 metre high with a cambered top. A late 19th-century cast iron plate is attached, which reads: "BRISTOL/21/MILES/MALMESB.Y/6/MILES."
