Description

Milestone located on the north side of Malmesbury Road in Easton Grey, dating from 1755-1756, associated with the Malmesbury Turnpike. It is a limestone post that stands 1.5 metres high and features a cambered top. On the south face, there is a late 19th-century cast iron mile plate that reads: BRISTOL/24/MILES/MALMESB.Y/3/MILES.
