Description

Milestone located on the north side of Sherston Road in Brokenborough, dating from 1755 to 1756, associated with the Malmesbury Turnpike. This limestone post stands 1 metre high and features a cambered top. On its south face, there is a late 19th-century cast iron mile plate that reads: BRISTOL/26/MILES/MALMESB.Y/1/MILE.
