Description
This is an 18th-century brick terrace, comprising numbers 19, 21, and 23 West Street. Numbers 19 and 21 have been painted, while number 23 incorporates occasional blue bricks within the brickwork. The building features a plinth and a brick cornice, topped by a tiled roof with two ridge chimneys. The upper windows of numbers 19 and 21 are large, multi-paned sash windows with flush moulded frames set into the eaves. A panel above the door of number 19 indicates the original size of the window. Number 23 has a range of five-light casement windows, likely originally with glazing bars on the first floor, although the ground floor windows are modern, with a segmental overarch. Numbers 19 and 21 have modern ground floor windows and a modern shop front respectively. Each property features a six-panel door, accompanied by cut brackets supporting flat hoods. A throughpassage to the left of number 19 serves numbers 11 to 17 (odd), a group of buildings of local interest.
