Description
No. 14 West Street is a mid to late 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall. It is constructed of painted brick and features a projecting plinth along with overlapped eaves courses. On the first floor, there are two windows that contain glazing bar sashes. The ground floor has two centrally located doors, one of which is half-glazed and has a segmental head. To the right, there is a bay window topped with a small modillion cornice on the fascia, and above it, there are traces of a moulded brick band. The left-hand shop window belongs to No. 16. The building has a tiled roof with a gable end chimney on the right, which is coupled with the chimney of No. 12. At the rear, there is a 2½ storey extension with a half-hipped gable that exposes timber in the gable.
