Description
22 West Street is a building that likely dates from the mid-18th century. It is two storeys high and has a stuccoed exterior with a projecting plinth and a tiled roof. The building features a moulded wooden eaves cornice and glazing bar sash windows, including a three-light, full-height canted bay window on the left side of the ground floor, with plate glass in the ground floor windows. There are two additional windows on the first floor and one on the ground floor. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with raised and fielded panels, the upper two of which are glazed. This door has a moulded surround and cut brackets supporting a hood that has a panelled soffit. The building also has a timber-framed gable that lights an attic space. At the rear, facing Crow Lane, there is a one-and-a-half storey extension that features a segmental-headed paired window on the right and a gabled two-light glazing bar casement dormer on the left, all under a tiled roof.
