Description

Number 9, West Street, is a house that underwent alterations in the mid-19th century to the front of a likely 18th-century building. The front facade is stuccoed with quoined openings. The building is two storeys high and has a tiled roof. Quoins are visible on the sides. There are three segment-headed late-glazed sash windows on the first floor, each set within a gabled half-dormer. A segment-headed doorway is located on the left side, and modern shop premises occupy the right, likely covering the location of two former windows, indicated by quoins. The property is included on the list for its contribution to the wider group value of buildings in the area.
