Description

This is an early 19th century terrace of buildings, although the appearance of each building is not identical. The terrace comprises three storeys, a basement, and attics, and is constructed of brown brick. The buildings are topped with stone coping and a parapet, featuring a moulded cornice, except for numbers 83 and 85. The windows are mostly original sash windows, with many of the glazing bars intact. Number 83 has a three-light canted bay window extending through two floors, while number 85 has a similar three-light canted bay window on just one floor. Most of the entrances feature simple round-headed doorcases with fanlights, approached by flights of steps. Numbers 83 and 85 have more recent shop front extensions. Number 87A has a shop front, number 101 has a late 19th century shop front, and numbers 103 and 105 have later three-light canted bay windows on all floors, along with double doorcases. A flight of steps leads up to the street level. Buildings numbers 67 to 105 form a notable group.
