Description
Old Mill Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the mid-17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and English garden wall bond brick, topped with a Bridgwater tiled roof and featuring a brick stack on the left side. The cottage is two stories high and has two windows on the front. The central entrance is a 20th-century glazed door, with a 2-light ovolo-mullioned casement window to the left and a 2-light wooden casement window to the right. On the first floor, there are two 2-light casement windows, with the left one being leaded. The right side of the cottage has a 4-light wooden mullioned casement window on the ground floor and a 3-light ovolo-mullioned casement window on the first floor, along with a blocked attic window. There is a single-storey extension with a pantiled roof attached to the left side of the cottage. The rear of the building has 20th-century additions. The interior was not accessible at the time of the survey in December 1986.
