Description
Quince Cottage is a detached cottage dating to around 1600. It is constructed with a timber frame and painted brick nogging, and has a half-hipped roof covered in Bridgwater tiles, with a brick stack on the left side. The cottage is single-storey with an attic, and has one window facing the front. A 20th-century entrance has been added to the left return, along with a 20th-century bow window on the right. The front of the cottage features a single-light casement window on the ground floor and a 2-light attic casement window. The right return has 2-light casement windows on both the ground and first floors. The rear of the cottage includes a lean-to extension and three 20th-century dormers, as well as a brick stack. The timber framing indicates that the right-hand bay of the cottage is a late 17th-century addition to what was originally a single-room cottage.
