Description
Hinton Cottage is a detached cottage dating from around 1700. It is built of English garden wall bond brick and features a thatched roof with half-hipped gable ends and a brick stack on the right. The cottage is single-storey with an attic and has two windows. There is a 20th-century door located in a gabled porch on the left, with two 3-light casements and one 2-light casement to the right. The cottage has two eyebrow attic dormers, one with a 2-light casement and the other with a 3-light casement. The left side has a ground floor of rubble stone and a timber-framed gable with a 2-light casement, while the right side is also rubble stone and features a fixed attic window. There is an attached 20th-century rear wing that is similar in style to the main building and also has a thatched roof. The interior was not accessible during the survey in December 1986.
