Description

GREAT HINTON MAIN STREET ST 95 NW (north side) 7/112 Hinton Cottage GV II

Detached cottage. Circa 1700. English garden wall bond brick, thatched roof with half-hipped gable-ends, brick stack to right. Single-storey and attic, 2-window. C20 door in gabled porch to left, two 3-light and one 2-light casement to right. Two eyebrow attic dormers with 2-light and 3-light casements. Left return is rubble stone to ground floor, timber-framed gable with 2-light casement. Right return is rubble stone with fixed attic window. Attached C20 rear wing in similar style to main range and with thatched roof. Interior net accessible at time of survey (December 1986).
