Description
The Jesse Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, about 5 meters north of the Church of St. Margaret of Antioch. It dates from the early 18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features two panels on its main sides, with a skull and crossbones depicted on the recessed south panels. It has fielded central and corner pilasters, a cornice, a panelled frieze, and a flat top that is cavetto-moulded. The monument commemorates John Jesse, who died in 1711.
