Description
The monument to Henry Jones is located in the churchyard about 25 metres east of the porch and 4 metres east of the path to the Church of St Mary and St Peter. This lofty chest tomb dates from the mid-18th century and is made of sandstone. It features a flat top with a moulded edge and deep gadrooned quarter balusters. There are cartouches on the east, west, and south sides, and it has a deep moulded base. The monument commemorates Henry Jones, who passed away in 1766, although the design of the monument is believed to be earlier than this date.
