Description
Barberry Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the early 18th century, with 19th and 20th century rear extensions. It is constructed of course dressed limestone and features a Welsh slate roof, which was formerly thatched, along with gable end brick stacks. The cottage has a gable end facing the road and is two stories high with a three-window south front. A 20th century door is located in an ashlar porch to the right of center, with a three-light recessed chamfered mullioned window with dripstones on either side. The first floor has a three-light mullioned window on either side of a single light. The stone verges are coped. The left side of the cottage has a gable end facing the road, which includes a one-light casement window on the ground floor. The rear features a mid-19th century stone extension with brick dressings and casements, along with a flat-roofed 20th century porch to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
