Description

Springs is a house dating from the 17th to 18th century, featuring whitewashed brickwork with some stone and a thatched roof. Originally a single-storey structure, it has been altered to become two storeys and is designed in an L-shape with a wing facing the road. The entrance includes a boarded door located in the re-entrant angle. The building has two and three-light windows with segmental heads, and there are gable and central stacks on the main block. The thatched roof is hipped. Inside, there is a large stack with timber fire beams and stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. The house also displays a sun insurance sign numbered 584477.
