Description
The Old Dukes Head is a house dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. It is timber-framed with whitewashed brick infill. The roof is thatched, with half-hipped ends. A brick stack is located centrally, with a later chimney to the left. There are two eaves dormers with tiled gabled roofs and surrounds. The house is one and a half storeys high. It features three doors, two three-light casement windows, a one-light casement at the left-hand end, and a two-light casement at the right-hand end. A small tiled lean-to addition is present on the right-hand gable. A one-storey wing extends to the left-hand end, incorporating a timber shed and brick walls, all under a tiled roof, and with two three-light casement windows. The rear elevation has a continuous outshot with a whitewashed brick wall and thatched roof, hipped to the left, and two inset dormers. A modern two-storey addition is located on the right-hand side.
