Description
The Old Post Office is a house dating from the 17th century or early 18th century, located on Church Street in West Lavington. It is constructed of colourwashed brick and features a thatched roof. The building is single storey with an attic and cellar, comprising four bays. The entrance is a six-panelled door with an architrave, accessed by three steps, located in the second bay, with a secondary door in the fourth bay on the right. The ground floor has three-light timber casement windows, while the upper floor features 2-light inset hollow chamfered stone windows. There is a moulded string course along the building. To the left, there is a lean-to extension and a gable stack. The rear wall has been heightened, and a rear stack has been added. Inside, the building has chamfered spine beams. The interior has not been seen.
