Description

The West Lavington War Memorial is made of Bath stone and features a Latin cross atop an octagonal shaft with an octagonal collar. At the base of the shaft, the years 1914 - 1918 are incised in ornate Gothic lettering. The shaft stands on a square plinth with rounded shoulders and a three-tiered square base. The word REMEMBER is also carved in Gothic lettering on the face of the plinth, while the names of the fallen are incised on the top two tiers of the base.
