Description

The Parsonage is a house built in the mid-18th century and later modified in the late 19th century. It is constructed from greensand rubble, with the front faced in brick and featuring flush stone quoins. The building has two storeys and five window bays, with a late 19th-century two-storey wing added to the right side. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door set within a stone doorcase, flanked by canted bay windows that have hipped slate roofs, which are linked to form a porch from the late 19th century. The upper floor features five two-light stone mullioned windows with inset reserve chamfers, all linked by a continuous string course. The eaves are offset with brick cogging. There is a stack located to the left of the through passage, and the right gable has similar two-light stone windows with label hoods. The rear wing is not considered of special interest.
