Description
The front garden walls and gate piers to Dial House, located on Church Street in West Lavington, date from the late 17th century to early 18th century. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings. The gate piers, measuring 18 centimeters in brickwork with an inner stop, feature a stone cornice and raised ball finials. The gates are made of iron and were added in the 20th century. On either side of the piers, there are 20th-century railings atop a low wall that breaches the original greensand wall, which has cogged and battered brick copings. This wall completes the width of the house and returns to enclose the front garden.
