Description

Well Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on the south side of Grafton Wilton. It is timber-framed with brick noggins on a high flint sill, with some areas of replacement brickwork. The roof is thatched. The cottage is single-storey and has an attic. It comprises three bays, with the gable facing the street. A 20th-century porch has been added to the right elevation, and the thatch has been extended to cover it. A single-bay extension is also present on the side of the front bay, and the rear has been extended in line with single-storey outbuildings. The timber frame is two panels high and includes corner braces. A brick stack is situated between the centre and rear bays. There are two dormers in the roof, which is half-hipped.
