Description

The war memorial, built around 1920, is made of Portland stone. It features a high tapering plinth set on three wide steps. At the top, there is a bronze figure of a soldier holding a gun, created by P. G. Bentham. The front of the memorial has a wreath inscribed with the words "Our Glorious Dead," and each face of the memorial has a tablet listing names.
