Description
Pitman House, located at 9 and 10 Silver Street, is a former factory built around 1795 that has undergone significant alterations. The building is two storeys tall with an attic, featuring stone lintels, a simple cornice, and a brick parapet, which originally had a pediment. It has eight first-floor windows, one of which is coupled. The ground floor has a 20th-century stained wood shop front. At the rear of No 10, there is a half hipped pantiled roof extension that forms the down stroke of a 'T' plan. The west gable is also half hipped and has timber lintels. Nos 5 to 7, which are adjacent, form a group with Nos 9 and 10.
