CHURCH STREET 1. 5411 (North Side) No 5 ST 8558 5/170 II GV

  1. Mid-late C19, 2 storey ashlar fronted, late classical. 4 windows to 1st floor, casements with moulded eaved architraves and aprons. Frieze, cornice and blocking course to double roman tile roof with crested ridge and coped verges. Band over rusticated ground floor; fluted side pilasters to 1st floor. Round headed window on ground floor to left; wide modern recessed shop premises to right.

Nos 2 to 7 (consec) and 9 to 12 (consec) form a group with the Emmanuel Baptist Church with its Gate and gatepiers.
