Description
CHURCH STREET 1. 5411 (North Side) Nos 10 and 11 ST 8558 5/174 II GV
- C17. Timber framed 2 storeys with long wing to rear of No 11. Fronts rendered. Double roman tile roof, the ridge continued from No 9. 2 two light casements to No 10, 1 three light casement to No 11. Mid C19 shop fronts, 3 panelled pilasters each and 2 scrolled brackets to fascia each. Doors to right. Chimney set in stone gable at rear of No 10. The rear wing is in excellent condition. 4 bays heavily framed with braces to studs and mainly brick infill. 2 storeys and attic (one raking top dormer on north west side). 3 two light casements and 1 three light casement, 4 doorways. Off ridge brick chimney. Single storey rubble shed to north east.
Nos 2 to 7 (consec) and 9 to 12 (consec) form a group with the Emmanuel Baptist Church with its Gate and gatepiers.
