Description
No. 37 Fore Street is an early to mid-19th century building, likely dating from the 1840s due to road improvements. This three-storey structure is built from Bath ashlar and features a low, slightly rounded front that continues over to No. 38A. The building has two windows with glazing bar sashes that are single hung on the second floor. It has a plain coping to the parapet and a cornice. The roof is slate, and there is a chimney stack on the right with a moulded capping. The ground floor is linked by a modern shop front to No. 38A.
Nos. 37 to 44 (consecutive), No. 38A, and Nos. 46 to 48 (consecutive) form a group with No. 13 Church Walk, while No. 43 is noted for its local interest.
