Description

Hatchetts is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. Originally timber framed, it is now faced in diaper brick on flint footings, with a flint wall on the right gable. The house has a thatched roof and is a single storey with an attic, featuring six bays; the left bay was formerly an outbuilding and is timber framed and rendered. The entrance is centrally located within a thatched porch, leading to five bays. The windows are timber casements, and there are five flush dormers, with the second and third bays having 18th-century leaded glazing. The house has four brick stacks and the roof is half hipped to the right. Inside, there are timber framed partitions.
