Description

Garden Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, featuring a timber frame with 18th century cladding. The walls are constructed of brick and some flint, topped with a thatched roof. The front, facing south-east, is one storey high with an attic and has three windows. The roof has a half-hipped design at the south-west end and includes three eyebrow dormers. The walls are built in Flemish bond with blue headers, and the ground floor openings are cambered. The south-west gable displays narrow horizontal flint panels and reveals the post of the timber-framed structure. The windows are casements, and there is a boarded door set in a plain frame, located within a 'bushy' porch.
