Description
Yew Cottage is a house that was originally built as two separate dwellings in the late 18th century, with some minor extensions added in the 20th century. The structure is made of brick and flint and features a thatched roof. The main façade, which faces southeast, has one storey and an attic, with four windows. There is a later extension to the northeast that has one storey and one window. The roof is half-hipped with a catslide at the rear, and the eaves have been raised above the upper windows. The walls display horizontal bands of flint interspersed with red brick bands, and there are quoins and cambered arches above the ground floor openings. One doorway has been filled in and replaced with a window. The windows are casements, and there is a half-glazed door located within a gabled and tiled open porch.
