Description

Orchard Cottage and Barn is a house with an attached service building, dating from the late 18th century, with an early 19th-century addition. It is constructed of brick and flint and features a thatched roof. The building is two storeys high and has four windows, all beneath a hipped roof. The walls are decorated with narrow horizontal bands of brick and flint, brick quoins, and cambered arches at the ground floor, along with a plinth. The windows are casements, and there is a four-panelled door leading to a rustic timber porch, which has panels of diagonal rods and supports a gabled tile roof. At the north-east end, there is a single-storeyed building with a hipped thatch roof and walls that are boarded both vertically and horizontally.
