Description

Cowlease Cottage is a 17th-century house that features a timber-framed structure with a thatched roof. It has one storey and an attic, with irregular window arrangements. The roof is hipped at the south-west end and half-hipped at the north-east end, and it includes two eyebrow dormers. The exposed frame has some rendered infilling in the upper part, while the rest is brick-nogged. The westernmost bay has horizontal boarding above vertical boarding. The windows are casements, and there are plain doorways.
