Description
Chidden Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, featuring a timber frame with cladding from both the 17th and 18th centuries. The walls are constructed of brickwork in English bond, with cambered openings and a deep moulded band at the first floor on the east side. The frame is exposed in the east gable, while the west gable is tile-hung. The roof is half-hipped, with a higher ridge on the east side and a catslide at the rear. The south-east front elevation is two storeys high and has three windows. The windows are casements. There is a mid-19th century gabled porch with trellis sides set on brick base walls, which features a six-panelled door.
