Description

Chidden Farm Cottage is a house dating from the late medieval period, originally serving as a hall with an inserted chimney. The former south bay has been replaced by a 20th-century crosswing. The building features an exposed timber frame with brick and some flint infill, while the 20th-century walls are made of brick. It has a half-hipped thatch roof with eyebrows above the half-dormers. The structure is T-shaped, consisting of one and a half storeys and displaying irregular window arrangements with casements. There is a boarded door set in a plain frame.
