Description

Yew Tree Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, featuring a timber frame that has been clad in the 18th century and renovated in the 20th century. The walls are constructed of brickwork in Flemish bond with blue headers, and include rubbed cambered arches with a flat extrados, along with a first-floor band and some tile-hanging. The roof is tiled, with a catslide at the rear. The symmetrical north front elevation has two storeys and three windows, although the central window has been altered to accommodate two smaller windows. There is an extension on the west side with one window. The windows are casements, and the doorway features a cornice supported by brackets, leading to a half-glazed door.
