Description
Gould's Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century, with a later refacing from the late 19th century. It features a timber frame, which has been refaced with flint and red brick dressings, including decorative diapering and a plat band. The roof is covered with old tiles and has a central ridge stack, an end stack to the left, and three gabled dormers that are hung with shaped tiles, with the outer two containing two-light casements. The house has a lobby entrance type with two framed bays and is one and a half storeys tall. On the ground floor, there are four segmental-headed cross windows and a central six-panelled door that is sheltered by a timber gabled porch. Inside, the ground floor room to the right features a 17th-century chamfered beam and joists.
