Description

Southridge House is a late 17th-century farmhouse with 19th-century additions. It is timber-framed, with later white-painted brick additions, and has an old tile roof, half-hipped to the south. A 19th-century gabled cross wing projects to the north, featuring an end stack to the west, a large central ridge stack, and three gabled dormers with two-light casements to the west. The house is of the lobby-entrance type, originally arranged with two framed bays, though it has undergone later alterations. It is 1½ storeys high, with two-storey additions. The west front has two large 19th-century glazing bar sash windows flanking a central three-panelled door, which is sheltered by a 19th-century gabled timber porch. Internally, a fireplace with a chamfered lintel is notable.
