Description
Hartridge Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with additions and refacing from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of rendered brick and timber frame, featuring tile hanging on the half-hipped gable at the rear. The old tile roof is half-hipped to the right and includes a projecting 17th-century half-hipped cross wing offset to the left, as well as a 19th-century hipped cross wing at the far left.
The building has two gabled dormers with two-light casements in the right wing, and there are two ridge stacks located off-centre to the left and right, along with two additional stacks at the rear. The farmhouse is designed in a T-plan with a cross wing that has two framed bays. It stands one and a half storeys tall, with a two-storey and garret cross wing to the left.
On the right side, there is a small casement and a glazing bar sash, while the left side features a six-panelled door with a four-light rectangular fanlight above. In the cross wing off-centre to the left, there is a two-light leaded garret casement, with one glazing bar sash on both the ground and first floors, and one two-light casement on each floor of the 19th-century cross wing at the far left.
