Description

Blorenge House is a house dating from the late 16th century with significant alterations in the mid-18th century. It is timber-framed, with later red brick facing and additions. The brickwork includes a dentil brick eaves cornice above an old tile roof, which is half-hipped to the left and hipped to the right, with end stacks. The original building consists of one framed bay to the left. The house has two storeys and three bays, featuring glazing bar sashes. The first-floor sashes are segment-headed, with exposed wooden boxes to the right and left. A tall ground-floor sash with Venetian shutters is on the right, and a 19th-century canted bay with sashes and a flat roof is on the left. The central entrance has a six-panelled door with a radial fanlight. Substantial remains of the original timber-framed bay survive inside.
