Description

Springtime Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill and a thatched roof that is hipped to the southwest. The building has a three-bay plan that runs from southwest to northeast, with a one-storey extension added to the northeast. It stands one and a half storeys high, with an off-centre ridge chimney located to the southwest and an end chimney at the northeast. The southeast elevation includes a three-light casement window in the left bay, two-light casement windows in the centre and right bays, and boarded doors located in the far left and right bays. Three dormer windows are set into the thatch at the eaves on the southeast side.
