Description
Church Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with rendered infill panels and weatherboarded gables, topped with a tiled roof. The building has three bays running from northwest to southeast and is two storeys high, with a chimney located on the ridge at the southeast end.
On the northeast elevation, there is a 2-light casement window on the ground floor in the left bay, a 3-light casement above, and a 4-light 20th-century casement in the central bay, along with a 2-light 20th-century casement in the right bay. A single-storey lean-to is positioned at the far right.
The southwest elevation mirrors this arrangement, featuring a 2-light casement on the ground floor in the left bay, a 3-light casement above, a 4-light 20th-century casement in the central bay, and a 2-light 20th-century casement in the right bay, with another single-storey lean-to to the far right. The southwest elevation is weatherboarded and includes single and 2-light casements on the first floor, along with a plain boarded door situated under a gabled porch to the left.
