Description
Bower Cottages is a house that has been converted into two houses, dating from the late 16th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of brick, featuring some timber framing, and has tiled roofs. It has a T-shaped plan, consisting of three bays to the north and a two-bay crosswing to the south. The structure is two storeys high, with a brick band at the first floor of the crosswing and patterned tile hanging on the gable. There is a central ridge chimney at the junction of the blocks and another ridge chimney at the centre of the main block.
On the east elevation, the crosswing to the west has a three-light casement window on the first floor, with a two-light casement window to the left and a half-glazed door to the right. The main block to the right features two three-light casement windows on the first floor and three two-light casement windows on the ground floor, along with a central half-glazed door from the 20th century.
